Lauren's Senior Pictures - Shoot 1

I took some of Lauren Gray's senior pictures this past Monday. They turned out really well. We don't have a huge collection of images because we did not have much time but we did get some really good shots. She's a senior at Newton. I plan to post more of her pictures as I get some time to do so. We are planning to take some more pictures this Sunday and then some more as the leaves change.

Cait's Senior Pictures

I went to Ray's Fruit Farm on Saturday with Mom, Sheila, and Caitlyn. I took my camera with the intent of taking really cool pictures of the apples on the trees and such. However, Cait looked super cute that day and we've been needing to get a start on her senior pictures..so we took a few shot...actually..we spent all day taking pictures! :) We had a blast tho!! We took some at the apple orchard, an old barn, the railroad tracks, and at Berryville Vinyards. I took over 350 pictures and ended up a TON of really good one's. I didn't want to overload the blog with pictures so I made a collage of some really good pictures and attached some, that are my favorite, as their original size.

At the Apple Orchard underneath an apple tree. I love this shot!! One of my favs!!
Caitlyn is very photogenic and the camera loved her...along with her loving the camera! :) We had a great day and I've already had a handful of seniors ask me about taking their senior pictures. I'm making business cards and creating flyers with recent pictures I've taken. AR Photography..here we come!!

Honeymoon Snap Shots

Rylan and I walked many evenings on the beach and I took my camera a few times. The tide came so high every evening that it ran over a small hill of sand and created it's own little river..it was so neat to walk in and watch the waves be big enough to make it over the little hill.

This little bird was not scared of anyone or anything. He was letting little children walk within 5 feet of him...and I just thought he made a really neat subject in my picture!

This is looking up from the very bottom of the lighthouse..inside of course. 203 stairs..the walls at the bottom are something like 8 feet thick of brick and at the top they are 2 feet thick..I don't remember how many bricks are in it..but I'm gonna guess a TON!

This was the moon over the ocean one evening after it rained.

Close-Ups

I have been experimenting with taking pictures up close, trying to shoot details rather than a whole object. The first picture is at Amy's mom's house, the second a fence at Berryville Vinyards, the third is a wood pile, and the last is Travis' Grandma's piano. The first two are my favorites.

Photos of August

August had on a beach hat of mine in this picture. I like how it's not a direct shot of her face.

She was blowing on all the dandelions in my yard and I thought it was so adorable! Again, this is not a direct shot of her face and I love that.

This is the egg August was amazed with. It was so cute how she would only pick it up with her thumb and pointer finger. Too cute!

Simplicity

I took a walk down the road the other day and decided to take some pictures of the most random things. I love danelions..in pictures! I hate them in my yard, but they are beautiful for pictures and to blow on. This particular shot just shows how something so simple can create such a neat photograph. Mom also wants this shot for the bathroom. I liked it in black and white better than color because the green grass almost over-powered the white ball-like flower of the dandelion.

Berryville Vinyards

Rachel, Erin, and I ventured south on Saturday to Berryville Vinyards.

Erin and I had never been before and we absolutely loved it! We sampled some wine and found some very cool spots to take pictures! I can't wait for the fall when vines are full of grapes so we can get some more shots from there!
Mom loved this picture! She wants me to print her a copy to hang somewhere in the house. The pond was so neat with all the trees and grass growing around it. I loved the little shack next to the pond also. Such a cool place that many people don't think about to go and see! Check it out next time you're in the area! Very cool!!

I love this picture of just their hands. Travis was trying to get August to pose for a picture.

August Loves to Color

I took this picture at the shower while August was coloring. She loves to color. We got a child's desk and chair from upstairs in the Claremont School. I love this child...I can't wait for her to stay with me this summer!! ;) ahaha...I love you Deb!! The angle of the picture is really cool..and I also like how you can tell she is coloring if you look in the foreground...but the picture draws your eyes to her face so you miss the crayon in her hand at first.

Jasper House

Normally, I would only upload a couple of pictures from a shoot. However, I couldn't pick. This house is located about 3 miles south of the Jasper/Cumberland County line on Rt. 130. I have driven past this house countless times since Travis was in college. Every time I told myself that someday I would stop and take some pictures. Today I finally did. The house just looks like it has a story to tell. I had to capture it.

Just One

I walked outside this morning to find just one icicle. There weren't any on any of the other limbs or on the house. It looked a little lonely hanging there. I like that you can see the barn in the background.

Snowy Scenes

Before playing in the snow with Laney, Jen's Aussie, I had to get my camera and snap a few shots of her! She's a great dog and she photographs beautifully too!
For several days, I have driven by East Fork Lake and watched the geese swim in the only spot that is not frozen. I kept telling myself that I was gonna get a picture of them and use it on Christmas cards in years to come. So on my way to Rylan's yesterday, I stopped and took several shots.

St. Mary-of-the-Woods

I took these this morning while I was at school. I would have taken more but I got cold and there was a guy trying to put salt on this bridge.

Moonlight

The other morning, mom ran up to my room at about 6am and wanted to have my camera because she thought moon looked really neat through the trees. She really is not good with my camera unless I'm showing her what do it. So I had to go out and take the pictures for her. This is what came of it when I turned it to Sepia. Pretty neat with the little tree up close and the moon lighting up all the trees in the background.
